Hi, I'm Tate...
After completing my Photography A Level I’ve found I’m drawn to an urban setting. Capturing people during their everyday lives, analysing how they interact with each other and their surrounding elements, is what I find most interesting to document.
Not to mention, I tend to point my lens at the majestic architecture that resides in these environments, as I enjoy capturing the shadows they cast and admire their thought-out design.
Moreover, I find pleasure in reappropriating my own photographs using mixed media such as stitch, paint, or collage. I find it can elevate the elements within the original image and transform it.
Currently, I’m in my first year of university studying Photography at UWE. I still enjoy street photography outside of my projects briefs, although I’m loving the freedom of experimentation that the course accommodates, whether that’s with the genre, subject or medium.
