Although it’s the capital, I didn’t feel the need to venture out past the area of Old Quebec. Therefore the 48 hours I spent here made it seem like somewhat of a fairytale town. I’d start my morning walking down Rue Saint-Jean where the cafes and restaurants would be setting up their patios outside, I’d walk through a park or two before reaching the Dufferin Terrace (towered by the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac) to be met by a stunning view of the St Lawrence River and from there made my way to The Citadelle of Quebec. However, once it hit about midday, this town would be swarming with tourists – so there were pros and cons to say the least.
